WEDDING AT VILLA MERLO NERO

Villa Merlo Nero is a beautiful villa located exactly in Florence! It opened its doors to weddings few years ago and we’re so proud of being able to plan memorable events there every year.

This villa can accommodate around 28 guests in its rooms, spread in the main villa, an adjacent smaller building and a cottage. It has a pool, that is not so common for venues and hotels in the city. Moreover, it’s just 30 minutes walking to the city center.

For your wedding at Villa Merlo Nero, you have several spaces at your disposal. A big lawn surrounded by greenery, a smaller garden immersed in the olive groves, the pool area, some antique indoor rooms and, above all, the stunning Italian, maze garden right in front of the villa’s façade. That’s the area we love the most for an alfresco dinner under some string lights. A long table is perfect between the villa and Italian garden; or, right next to it, you have a square that can be used for a dinner with round tables or for a first part of the after-dinner party. You can dance outdoor until 11 am, then you can move indoor and continue until 1 am, paying a small extra cost.

We think that this venue is ideal for weddings of maximum 50 people. This allows you to have a good plan B in case of bad weather and celebrate with your favourite people. Definitely it’s an intimate villa for an intimate reception.

For the night before your wedding at Villa Merlo Nero, you could plan a pizza party around the pool. In the property there is a pizza oven that can be used. In addition, there is a barbecue you can use during your stay.  It’s possible also to book a cooking class with the Chef.
